Join the Authors Guild, SAG-AFTRA, the Animator’s Guild, the Concept Artist’s Association, and the Voice Actor’s Association in support of the AI Copyright Transparency Act, AB 412!
If you are a California author and voter, your voice is crucial for supporting this California Assembly bill.
This California bill would require companies to disclose any copyrighted materials used in training AI.
California would be the first state to mandate such requirements and since many technology companies are based in California, this law would likely set the standard for the rest of the nation.
AI companies are lobbying hard to prevent any oversight or restrictions on how they input materials for their training models. Please show your California State Assembly member that there are authors who believe that companies should be transparent about their use of copyrighted works, by dropping a note to them and telling them to vote in support of AB 412.
